Model Railway Cable Routings Concrete H0-scale 81 parts

Model Railway Cable Routings Concrete H0-scale 81 parts 3D print model

Description

For my model railway and dioramas I needed some Cable raceways. I used the parts from the company “Railbeton” and “bbl Beton” as a reference because they had some great documentation. but I changed the dimensions slightly ! so you could use a normal milling size.

The sizes: I have some models for the Lids but I recommend use 0.5mm polystyrene to cut the Lids to the following sizes (length always 5.75mm that equals 500mm for the Original) GR1 : 1.8x5.75mm GR2 and GR3: 3.8mm GR3a: 4.8mm GR4: 6.8mm And place those parts beside the channel. For the covered part I recommend to use a polystyrene strip with the width of the channel (see size below) and engrave the lines. Easier and cheaper to build.

Size of the channel parts: Length is always 5.75mm (short) or 11.5mm (long) GR1: 3mm width, 3mm height GR2: 5mm width, 3mm height GR3: 5mm width, 4.5mm height GR3a: 6mm width, 3mm height GR4: 8mm width, 3mm height

For the revision entrance I have a closed version (bottom is open to save resin) height: 3mm or 4.5mm. The open version has a height: 20mm you might sand it down if needed or precut in the slicer before printing. There are two types of lids, small ones (7.7x3.6mm) and larger ones I designed with more details (6.8x8.7mm) both needs to be sanded down a bit if places beside the open revision

The cable overlength storage is closed, height 3mm bottom open, height 3mm or 4.5mm and the open version has a height of 3mm or 4.5mm. The closed versions are the same for all channel types because I made them that they are not attached to the Channel itself. The open versions have a small part of the channel for the open part. Aswell I made some lids, a bit thicker than they should be so it is easier to print, maybe sand them down on a flat sandpaper for more realism. Size 8x5.7mm or you could cut them of 0.5mm polystyrene as well and only make the small holes to open them. 6 Lids needed for every Overlength part. One time the “enlarged” which covers the gap to the channel and 5 times the normal one

I’m currently building a small scene with this part (and a 3d printed signal that I will upload soon, so follow me to see when it is avaible). Once I’m done I will add some pictures of that.

If you have a question, or a request for a change feel free to write me. I could add the parts to the design.

I print with a 0.02 layer height for most of the parts. To prevent them from breaking easily I have a mixture of 80% ABS-Like resing with 20% flex resin.
