Description

UPDATE 3/11/2024: I uploaded a second Stp. file that has no text so you can add whatever text you want in the Bambu slicer or in any modelling package.

EDIT: Let me know if you don't have the capability to customize the lettering. If you message me, I can modify the file and send it customized over chat.

National park style welcome sign. Currently the model just says “welcome” but can easily be modified to add custom text to the lower portion or the arrowhead portion as shown in photos.

Share includes .stp file and .3mf file to work with.

Note the .3mf file has the sign squished 50% in the z-axis to make it thinner.

Highly recommend printing with the .2 mm nozzle to get the details in the arrowhead.

Note you can get the official National Parks font from here:

https://nationalparktypeface.com/Download

As far as I can tell Fusion 360 can only extrude text that is .ttf format. If you cant find a font in .ttf formate you can covert other formats using this website:

This has potential, but I am unable to edit the text in Bambu Studio, and unable to add this text to BS to make my own message. I try splitting the file into objects, but this didn't work, either.

You need to pull the model into a modeling package like Fusion 360 to add/modify text. If you're interested in some specific text I can modify it and send it to you.

I just added a second .stp file that has no text - This should let you add any text you want in the slicer!

Thanks for doing this. My Fusion skills are non-existent. One issue, though, the National Parks fonts have many non-manifold edges on certain letters, so it's still not usable. For example. the "S" is not a contiguous element. Thanks for trying.

I love the sign and I would like to further customize it. If it’s not too much trouble could you post a version without “welcome”? In Bambu Studio I split the model into parts but the letters aren’t separate. Thank you.

Just uploaded a blank .stp file with no text on it. You should be able to customize in the slicer.

Looking at the pictures listed with your model it appears that the letters in the bottom half of the sign (THE) have a lighter color filament behind them but when I slice it the darker brown color is all the way across the first layer. I was hoping to get the same effect as shown in the pictures but so far am unable to do so. Am doing something wrong/miss something? Thanks for your help!

use the paint tool to paint the letters the color you want. the "the" letters are at the same layer height as the background behind the "welcome" so it works to have both the same color. let me know if you need some help. shoot me a message directly.

Made an RV sign for a retiring couple. They were astounded!
