Sometimes a threat is so enormous, not all of it is going to fit on the battlefield. This Huge Tentacle helps depict such a terror: what hideous monstrosity waits under the waves (or under the ground) when just its enormous tentacles can reach up to threaten the players?
Dark-Platypus Studio specializes in making models for role-playing game enthusiasts. Our models are designed to be printed in 28mm scale, the perfect size for Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, or other games that are often played on a 1” grid. They are also designed to stand up to actual tabletop use: no ridiculous spindly bits that look awesome but are going to break the first time someone sneezes. Paintability and ease of assembly are also important concerns to our design aesthetic.
This Huge Tentacle was sculpted and released as a resin model as part of the Tentacles and Eyeballs kickstarter (way back in 2012!) This is the first time it has ever been available as a digital release for 3D printing. It fits on a 3” base and stands over 6” tall when assembled.
All Dark-Platypus Studios models are sculpted by sculptor Andrew K. Barlow (me), and no AI is ever involved. All models have been checked for errors and test-printed.
