Description

I created these sabergrips to make playing beatsaber alot nicer! There are many different ways of grabbing these (as in how high up you grab them) for different comfortable positions.

The base attachment can just be on your controller without the grips as well. Making the possibility to use this base as a base for other grips as well: gun grips / stock attachments etc! Be creative!

You need threaded inserts for these to work; M4 6mm inserts and also M3 and M4 bolts. Also for each grip 1 M3 nut.

Warning: the little clip that goes into your control, don't print it out of PLA. I printed it out of cheap chinese PLA and somewhere between 75 and 100 hours of intense sport usage (I do 1 hour workouts with very intense BeatSaber songs and XR fit punching as hard as I can) the clips snapped and send my controller flying. Nothing broke on the controller, but print the clip out of PETG or a strong (not so flex) flex filament that can handle some stress. Use this at your own risk.

I used this hardware:

How to assemble:

  • Be sure to check wether you have the left or right item for every step!
  • Remove the battery clip from your controller
  • Remove the strap by sliding out towards you from the bottom
  • Add an M3 nut to the small clip you printed
  • Slide the clip into the controller where the strap used to be
  • Put the battery cover back
  • Slide on the controller attachment carefully and check to see if everything aligns and if you used the correct clip!
  • Screw in the M3 bolt from the bottom to secure (don't skip this step!)
  • Add the threaded inserts to the sabergrip and the controller attachment
  • Slide on the sabergrip to the controller (it's a tough fit!)
  • Screw it with an M4 bolt (don't skip this step!)
  • Thread your controller strap through the circular grip bottom
  • Screw it to the bottom of your grips
  • You're done! Enjoy!

How can I print this with an x1c?

Can't you import the A1 profile and just adapt it? I think that's what I have doen a few times other way around? Otherwise just export the models out of the profile and import into your own profile! Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help!

Are the threaded inserts optional? I usually print with PLA Tough and I don't have any hot-tips to heat up the inserts. Would I need to edit the original model to fit screws without inserts?

Yes you would need to edit them, I recon it won't be a problem but be sure that especially the ones on the controller are tight. Because that holds the swinging weight of the controller. For the record, mines are printed in PLA too! It's really strong and durable I have played countless hours of hard swinging beatsaber with it! (clocked over 50 hours with these babies)
