Description

Well the K1C has finally come, and that means looking for ways to level the bed!

Creality has taken away the stepper screws which means… no more crunchy manual teeth skipping methods… noooooo!

Therefore, I have created this very quick and easy spacer design to help make the process of bed height adjustment as painless as possible!

I realise now that there is already a popular model used to do this, but I can offer a very slightly faster way to adjust the bed.

The spacer is made to be inserted quickly under the feet of the printer bed. The screws need only to be unscrewed midway, allowing the bed to be raised up slightly and the spacer to be inserted in the gap - nice and easy!

Some notes about the spacer:

  • Model is 0.1mm in height. Multiply the z height to what you need when slicing.
  • Print in something heat resistant if you can. The bed warming up and softening PLA can ruin your perfect calibration!
  • From my testing, every 0.1mm of spacer roughly changes both axis equally by around 0.05mm on each side. I used 2x 0.4mm spacers to go from a (0.4mm to -0.5mm) offset to a (-0.01mm to -0.07mm) offset.
  • To make sure your printer gets the idea about staying level, make it print its own spacer hehe
