IMPORTANT NOTE ON COMMERCIAL USE OF MY MODELS

Please note that I am sharing my designs to any one to enjoy but for personal use only. I have NOT provided any commercial license to any one allowing the sale of 3d printed copies of my designs. Seeing my designs being sold for profit is discouraging for me to continue coming up with more designs.

I will not hesitate to report to Etsy and other online sites if I find them being sold.

__________

Easy-to-assemble, quick print, kit card of Minecraft Bee in mini figure scale. Parts can easily be removed from the sprue without using cutters/clippers just by twisting the part.

Default scale is comparable to the Minecraft mini figures but of course you can scale it up to as large as you want! :)

Usage Options

  1. Assemble as is and use as toy/collectible; or
  2. Use the alternative part with loop and glue the halves together to make for a great keychain ornament!

Printing Reminders

  • Print as oriented, with NO supports needed. Model comes with breakaway supports.
  • If you're printing in multiple colors, please note that due to several color swaps, it would take longer to print.

printed 15 of these for my son to decorate a tiny Christmas tree he puts in his room. they look great. a sheet of 15 took 8 hours to print, and this is where i see a few tweaks that could reduce that time with minimal effort. there are two main details I would suggest to modify: 1.) rotate the body core 90 degrees so it doesnt have to build as high -- no yellow on top layers. 2.) just do the stinger in black these two modifications on the color model would reduce the number of filament changes, driving down the amount of time and effort to print this model. there are 97 filament changes in the ams design, and id bet two modifications could drop at least 20 of them. also you might get away with shortening the wing posts a tiny bit to maximize your gains.

Thanks for the feedback! 1. I did consider orienting the the legs upwards but that would require the top wall of the bee's body to bridge and sag and will not fit the peg. The current orientation while it requires more filament change, it makes the walls oriented vertically and ensures they fit the peg. 2. Changing the color of the bee's stinger & stripes to black is just a profile change, re-color brown to black. I decided to stay true to the Minecraft colors hence the brown.

what brand of yellow filament did you use? mine keep curling up on the edges before I can get halfway done. any advice on settings, filament, etc would be greatly appreciated!

How did you guys install them? Whether I've been 0.2mm printing or 0.16mm, it takes a lot of force for me to install. This really hurts my fingers. :(

Hi - you might be having over extrusion. Try reducing your flow rate in the slicer by a factor of 0.01. For more details see this guide in the Bambu wiki. https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/manual/manual-flow-rate-tuning

my daughter printed this. I think she just wanted to pick all the colors in the AMS. turns out I used more filament in poop than for the bee. but she loves it. that is all that matters.

I love how these bees came out. I made a few for my son to give out to his friends. Thank you for this design.

What brand of yellow filament did you use for these? I have tried three different brands and I cannot get the yellow filament to stick for nothing. It definitely not my settings, as I can print the other kit cards beautifully (even the turtle, which is really hard to get off without errors) Any help is appreciated. I’ve tried the print on both the A1 mini and both my P1S printers.

I believe I used Sunlu PLA yellow. Try cleaning your print bed and increasing the hotend temperature by 5° or 10° hotter. You might also want to reduce filament flow by 0.01 or 0.02 since increasing the temperature could result to over extrusion causing the fit too tight.
