Since I bought a filament dryer (Sovol 3D) I had some issues with tension on the filament input on my Anker M5. This was related to the angle filament entering the machine.
(Sovol 3D)
So I resolved that by using the original filament holder, which already worked fine but since I added this Filament guidance spool it goes even smoother.
When doing higher pints it might happen that the filament falls of the spool, to resolve that I added a Support over the spool.
(Thanks to HiShak for pointing this out!)
It looks like the support has a nice opening to guide the filament trough, I would not recommend this, this will add more friction to the process. I just added some empty space to save filament.
Filament Spool:
Made for Anker M5 but can be used on all filament holders.
Dimensions:
Filament Support:
Specially made for the Ankermake filament holder extension bar.
For the Ankermake M5 users, i added the pre-sliced GCODE files for printing with PETG
Supports:
Yes
Resolution:
0,2
Infill:
Spool 5% - Support 10% (lines)
Filament:
BASF PETG / PLA Orange
Notes:
Antislip
For the Filament Support, I added a 1mm adhesive vinyl on the inside so it stays in position but it is still possible to slide the support back and forward.
