Description

v2.1 now available!

v1 could prevent the feeder from properly engaging if installed wrong (did this myself on 1 of 4), so I've replaced the profile.

v2 resolved the above issue in my testing. This release also includes both PLA and PETG options, I prefer the PETG.

v2.1 improved how the PTFE seats itself. It will now seat directly against the feeder instead of in the adapter. I am still running test prints to ensure this is the better option.

I wanted to run PTFE all the way from inside the Sunlu S4 to the AMS Lite.

I went through a few iterations of these, but these were the first that worked well enough that I wanted to post for others to use and get some feedback.

The feeder button needs to be partially depressed to expose the entire rim for both ends to snap on. It is a snug fit and needs a little force to clip on. Much nicer install experience with PETG.

I do not recommend attempting to speed this up with higher layer heights or the tabs and threads may fail, but of course feel free to experiment.

These accept PC4‑M10 pneumatic push fittings with an M10/6mm thread. I can make variants by request.

I have another version without the push fittings, but I wasn't confident in the connection. For how easy these are to come by, I decided this was the better solution.

what material are you using? did you make any adjustments to the profile? I’m working on another update and appreciate the feedback of how I can improve it

I tried carbon fiber PLA, and regular PLA but neither will stay put all the time. If you look at other similar models they have a deeper well and not flat and have more edge on the side clips

One of my .. "feeder plates" (?) I believe to be sized a slight amount larger from the factory as 3 went on with no problem and I've cracked five v2.1 and two v2.2 connectors (all PETG) trying to put it on the 4th. Ideas? My next thought is to try a heatgun if I can get it a tad soft while still able to handle cause with a big thumb oven mit, there's no handling something this small, lol.

oh that’s interesting, try scaling up just a couple percent? should only need to do the X/Y, but the pneumatic connector might not fit right. do you have a calipers that you could take a measurement? I could also whip up a quick modified version. the v2.2 in PETG shouldn’t crack unless they made that feeder quite a bit larger.

Thank you for the feedback. I've added a new profile (v2.2) that I've been personally testing and have so far not had any issues with if you'd like to try it out. https://makerworld.com/en/models/153627#profileId-365576
