Description

I would suggest PETG at 0.2 layer height.

Differences of the remix compared to the original

I have changed most of it to be honest, its longer at the bottom with vents, I have changed the power button. Its taller to support the Pimoroni board, has a thinner cable slot and a fan protector. I have removed the holes for screws and made it clip together.

Hope you like it!

29/03/24  Waveshare PoE Hat Support

I have added 2 files to support using the Waveshare PoE Hat for the PI 5 !

you will need the following:

  1. pi5_case_top_gpio_open_widedoor_POE.stl
  2. pi5_case_top_gpio_widedoor_POE.stl
  3. pi5_case_bottom_ssd_gpio_widedoor      (Existing file)

02/03/24 RaspBee 2 Zigbee gateway Support

I have added an extra file pi5_case_top_raspbee_II.stl to support using a RaspBee 2 Zigbee gateway. It adds an extra 8mm to the top of the case and should be used in conjunction with pi5_case_bottom.stl - This has not yet been tested to fit as it's an ongoing request but I will confirm once user testing has completed.

12/02/24 Wide door

I have added some modified parts with a 2.5mm wider GPIO door, you will need the bottom + door + 1 or the 2 types of top. As always with the top parts drag the door + top in to the slicer so they are aligned together.

28/01/24 I have added a new Prusa base for anyone who want to mount it to a Prusa MK3 printer, would be a nice overkill Otcoprint host.

19/01/24 Made a few changes

there are now a number of files. There are 2 main versions and depending if you need the GPIO door and then each version has a variant depending if you need the camera cable slot.

I have also included the 3mf files for the build plates of each version. Note that the print in place door might need some bending to release at first.

Nice case but the very corners are tough to get to stick to the build plate. It would be great to have a taller top to accommodate the Waveshare POE HAT.

I have a version that supports the Waveshare PoE Hat for the Pi 5 - it's on my version on printable and I'm not sure how to sync an update to Makerworld. BTW - its not tested as I only have the 3d file of the POE hat available. https://www.printables.com/model/722026-raspberry-pi-5-case-for-pimoroni-nvme-ssd-base-opt

This Model printed easy and without any complications. I used the textured PEI Plate and a layer hight of 0.2mm and even used "only" PLA (I'll see how that will work out in the long term). Everything worked out fine and fits great.
