Description

A smallish 8x8 checkerboard for playing English draughts (AKA checkers) and similar games, with 12 draughtsmen of each color and integrated storage for them. Designed for convenience of transport and of assembly. At 210 x 210 mm, it's just small enough to fit on many common print beds such as the Prusa i3 MK2S. The checkered top is designed to print as one multi-colored piece with a manual filament change just before each of the two final layers.

### Print Settings - Resolution: 0.25 mm - Infill: 20% Gyroid - Filament Material: PLA - Filament Colors: gold, brown, charcoal, black, white - Perimeters: 3 - Solid Bottom Layers: 4 - Solid Top Layers: 5 - Skirt Loops: 0 (Since this completely fills the print bed of a Prusa i3 MK2S, there's no room for a skirt.)

### Fill Patterns - For bottom of bottom.stl: Octagram Spiral - For top of draughtsman-*.stl: Hilbert Curve - For all other surfaces: Rectilinear

### Print Quantities - 1 x top.stl (recommended to start with gold, then switch to brown for the second-to-last layer and charcoal for the last layer) - 1 x middle.stl (gold recommended) - 2 x pin.stl (same color as middle.stl) - 1 x bottom.stl (charcoal recommended) - 24 x draughtsman-manside.stl (12 black and 12 white recommended) - 24 x draughtsman-kingside.stl (12 of each color, same as draughtsman-manside.stl, but switch to gold for the two final layers)

### Post-Printing 1. Using glue and the two printed pins, mount the checkered top on the middle. 2. Slide the bottom onto the middle using the integrated rails. 3. Glue together the two halves of each draughtsman.
