Description

This is my favorite adaptation of the side mounted spool holder that utilizes the original metal spool holder. It combines two designs (side spool holder bracket and 608 Bearing Roller) into one very rigid and sturdy side mount solution.

I printed the Side Spool Holder Bracket with 100% infill for strength. I followed a user's comment and added some felt lining on the interior so that the bracket would not scratch the printer over time. I was also able to re-use the existing screws to attach the bracket to the printer.

Additional part(s) required:

Two (2) 608 Bearings
Two (2) 8xM3 or 12xM3 countered by a nut

This looks great! Could it perhaps be extended a bit farther forward, so the spool doesn't stick out the back?

Incredibly strong and clean print. The tolerances are perfect. Roller parts fit and rotates perfectly, didn't require any excessive force to assemble. Excellent profile, it all fits together perfectly.
