Description

Hotend - Toolhead PTFE Guide

The guide is hidden in the printer head and does not interfere with movement. It is designed to be replaced by a standard guide which is screwed in with two screws.

It is best to print in PETG because of the higher temperature in the head. I have printed 900 changing filament with this adapter without any jams.

  • Helps resolve AMS Filament Retraction problems
  • Perfect fit on PTFE connector
  • Perfect smooth fit on print heat
  • Prevents bending of PTFE tubes
  • Helps maintain a natural curve, where needed
  • Quick PTFE hose release without screwing

INSTALLATION:

  • Unscrew the two screws holding the original guide
  • Screw the new guide onto the head with the original screws
  • check that you have not over-tightened the screws and that the guide moves up and down

NOTE: I recommend using PETG or ABS/ASA that can handle the higher temperatures of the print chamber.

For multicolor print :)

This is the best PTFE guide I have found, all of the others with the curve I have found have too tight of a bend and sometimes causes the filament to not feed through. This one has no resistance and allows the tube to bend properly as needed throughout all positions where the printer moves plus it just looks like a factory component, not out of place, very nice design

Thank you for such a nice response. I have tried a lot of samples myself and I have noticed that the problem is in the beginning. So I started to develop in that direction and made it so that the PTFE tube can still be removed without screwing.

very nice, and thank you for sharing your model! I did have to make sure not to tighten the screws too much so that the piece would still slide down to release the PTFE tube from the coupler

any advice for PETG printing on a P1S with Bambu PETG? the inner wall keeps pulling away in spots so it’s not smooth and I don’t wanna use that. I’ve tried slowing down that inner wall and some more cooling for it but can’t seem to get it printing smoothly. awesome print tho!

Make a temperature column to determine the right filament temperature and flow rate calibration. Try reducing the speed a little more. I have printed quite a few and they have all been perfect. You can also move the seam to Nearest.

I’ll give it a shot! thanks, I finally got it printed with thinner layer height. but will do a temp tower. trusted Bambu’s settings too much on their own filament. I’ll run a temp tower. thanks!
