Description

Designed to make as much use of refrigerator space as possible by only going into length with increasing capacity. Many racks are as wide as long and can therefore create lots of dead space.

All racks are designed for 50 mL tubes (29.5 mm diameter) and have 15 mL tube slots (16.8 mm diameter) inbetween. The 50 mL tubes should slide into the rack so that their lids are underneath the 15 mL tube lids. This is to avoid jamming when a rack is full.

I also added a trio of racks that have three 15 mL tube slots in the front (or back if you will), which is an especially useful feature in our lab. Maybe you find those handy as well!

Print settings:

I went with PLA+, 3 perimeters, 2 bottom/ top layers and standard 15% infill settings. The third wall really is for the pins.

When assembling the racks make sure not to press fit the pins of the TOP part into the feet of the bottom part but into the flat build plate side of the bottom part. The fit is very tight (0.13 mm) and you may break the pins if you try to disassemble the parts!

I'd very much appreciate a “like” if you do and look forward to your makes! Also please give me feedback on the design!

enjoy everybody!

Great design! It allows us to prepare our mixs with only one rack.
