Description

Introducing the DIY 3D Printed Rattle:

Crafted with love for my 6-month-old daughter, this 3D Printed Rattle is a ongoing project aimed at creating the perfect combination of entertainment and safety. The shell design, perfected for vase mode, ensures a swift 18-minute print time, allowing for efficient and enjoyable creation.

Using a 1mm nozzle and clear PETG, known for its non-toxic properties, I prioritized both durability and safety in the construction of this rattle.

The transparent material adds a touch of modernity, allowing your little one to see and explore the vibrant world of colors within.

But what makes this rattle truly unique? Midway through the print, I incorporated small Lego blocks to produce that delightful noise that captivates a baby's attention. It's a subtle touch that turns this rattle into an engaging sensory experience.

I could throw it on the ground and it wouldn't BREAK. If you have a printing defect I'll understand, but I was CAREFUL to test it thoroughly before.

I printed in transparent PETG and filled it with beans, rice, and Bambu poop. Turned out great, baby loves it, awesome design.

Printed this in clear PETG a few hours before leaving to go see the granddaughter. Filled it with rice for the sounds. It lasted less than 10 seconds in my hands before breaking in half at the stem. I was not even handling it rough.

Strength Issue:Super cute but at the very end, where the rattle closes, it just wasn’t strong enough, causing small openings, allowing contents to fall out. Used a X1C, textured plate, Bambu PETG filament via the AMS. Not sure if providing that information helps but figured I’d include it in case it does. :) Would be more than happy to be a test dummy if you decide to update the file && provide feedback! :)
