Description

Inspired by MBRandR's design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6296816 I redesigned the maintenance station to act as a tool head holder for my P1S.

===Please note this is NOT something you attach to your printer while it's operational!!! ===

the holder itself is fairly standard, which rests on the carbon rods with a triangular shaped holder to hold the tool head in place when performing maintenance activities.

the Monitor is redrawn, with a Bambu logo and a green check mark indicating everything is a-okay. I made it as an insert to the maintenance station, so it's easier to print, so is everything else on the station. just a tad of CA glue and you're all set, and you can customize the station as you see fit.

the control panel is designed to take 1.75mm filament to act as buttons, so make sure you keep it at 105% scale (my original model was too tight, and I'm too lazy to re-draw the model…) use a sharp snipper and be creative with your choice of colors.

the joystick is nothing fancy. you may want to scale it up a bit, as it turned out a bit small for me, but i'll leave it for now.

I took the keyboard/mouse model somewhere a while ago, and can't remember the source. if you're the owner, please let me know and i'll add it here. but as you can see in the model, the mouse was supposed to be a “corded” one, but the 0.4mm nozzle can't seem to slice it, and I'll just pretend it's a wireless one :) also i'm really impressed how the keyboard's details showed up on my P1S. kudos to the Bambu folks.

There is also a hidden slot for 6mm magnets to the left of the model. you don't have to use it, but it allows you to stow the station on another magnet, or a ferrous metal surface as shown in one of the pictures.

[caseyleonard008 confirmed this does NOT work for X1C, but i'll leave my variant up in case someone is in the mood to remix] Last but not least, I created a version for X1C, as I understand the tool head opens to the left due to the different wiring. I do not have an X1C so no way to test if it works, but if you ended up printing the X1C version, please let me know if it works for your machine.

I still need to print small pieces that attach.

I’m planning this one.. but I’ll find a way to strap it to the mini so he looks like a crane operator

So does this item stay on the printhead for regular prints or does it have to be removed for when the printer is being used?

it does NOT stay on the toolhead. this is only a decorative toolhead cover hanger for when you need to service the extruder area. the bambu machine is fairly efficient with its internal space utilization, so it's difficult to design something that would stay on the toolhead while it's operational.

confirmation that this does not work on X1C, there are no holes to 'catch' on the side with wiring. I do still like it though so I keep it on the printer lol I'll use it someday when I disconnect the wiring harness or something

thanks for confirming. when i save up enough to buy an X1C, i'll consider modifying it, but feel free to remix it :)
