This is a modified version of Rio's Riptide sword design. While Rio's original had an appealing exterior, the joining mechanisms made the assembled sword quite unstable. To enhance the structural integrity, I replaced the original tabs at the end of each piece with separately printed rectangular dowels. These dowels extend deeper into the adjoining pieces and fit more tightly, particularly along the flat edges, ensuring a more secure connection for gluing. Additionally, I integrated an extended dowel that runs from the grip through the cross guard into the first segment of the blade, significantly improving the cohesion between the grip and cross guard.
